AREAS OF CONCERN
Gun Violence
Statistics show that everyday 9 children will be killed by firearms and 90 percent of deaths in teenage African American males are homicide. We will assist the youth in making better decisions and choices through our Life Skills programs media campaigns.
Domestic Violence
Today 4 women and 3 children will die as a result of abuse. To help decrease domestic violence our campaign will teach life skills through our programs, encourage victims to seek help sooner rather than later and connect them with our partnering foundations.
Drug Abuse
Today 11,318 children will try alcohol, marijuana, cocaine or heroin for the first time. The O.S. Movement’s media campaign will discourage the use of illegal drugs by helping teens stand against peer pressure, making it popular to say no to their peers and to drugs.
HIV/AIDS
Over 53 percent of new HIV infections occurred in bisexual men. Through education and
media campaigns we will remind youth of the dangers of unprotected sex and they will participate in workshops to help decrease the rising statistics of HIV.
Drunk Driving/
Texting & Driving
3 in every 10 Americans will be involved in an alcohol-related crash. The OS Movement, Inc.
will promote personal and social responsibility among at-risk youth for drunk driving through media mentorship, making it popular to have a designated driver.
Teen Pregnancy
Today 1,210 babies will be born to a teen mother. The Other Side Movement, Inc. will provide guidance and counseling to at-risk teens, educating them on the consequences of having a child at an early age and bringing respect back to virginity.

PROJECTS
Inner city youth have the opportunity to express themselves through art, entertainment and academics. CLICK FOR MORE INFO:
Music with a Message Project is to examine and analyze the uses of music, including music therapy, aimed at reducing the negative exposure to violence.
The Other Side Movement and Arts To Literacy worked with children to create four PSA's. They were treated with an Red Carpet Oscar Award Ceremony.
Almost 1 million children in Florida are at risk of hunger during the summer while school is not in session. In South Florida alone, there are more than 280,000 children who don’t know from where they will get their next meal.
